"Art in the Bag" benefit for Cancer Awareness, Research and Care

The Midwest Lampworkers Guild is hosting their first-ever “giving back” event on October 17th at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, NE. Their event is called “Art in the Bag” and will benefit Cancer Awareness, Research and Care. The feature event is a silent auction of “bags” with accompanying beaded accessories. For more information on this upcoming event and how to donate, please visit their website at www.artinthebag.blogspot.com. If you’ll be in the Omaha area on October 17th, they hope that you will join them for the evening of cocktails, hors d’oeurves and jazz! Ticket information will be on the website soon.

I made this pink purse a little while back, and its really different than my other stuffs, so never really showed it at fairs. I decided to donate it. Right now seems a perfect time, since someone I care about in Columbus was just diagnosed. There’s a good chance she’ll read this. Please wave at her and leave good thoughts for her in the comments section!

Hannah — thank you so much for your generous donation. I can’t wait to see it live and in person. It is going to be perfect for the silent auction. All proceeds from the event will be donated to cancer organizations. A big wave to your friend who has been recently diagnosed. Cancer needs to be made a national agenda item — it’s time to find a cure.
