About MeABOUT GOOD RIVER GALLERY~ We specialize in handmade jewelry, purses, glasswork and beads, made of the finest materials. ABOUT HANNAH With over fifteen years teaching experience combined with twenty years as a working artist, I still look forward to teaching both fine arts and craftsmanship skills every day. I’ve taught college level multimedia and design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the Illinois Institute of Art. I have taught beadwork and fine arts at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, TLD Design Center and Gallery u0026amp; Caravan Beads in Chicago, Glass Axis u0026amp; 1 Stop Bead Shop in Columbus, OH. I was a semifinalist in the lampwork category for Bead Dreams 2009 and won second place for my bead embroidered collar-piece in the Treasures of Toho 2009 Contest. My work is currently on show at the Harwood Museum of Art gift shop and also at the Fetchin House Taos Museum of Art Gift Shop. ABOUT DAVID As a beginning glass student I view this medium with similar eyes as those of my student years back in Baltimore studying both Literature and Fine Art specifically in the areas of drawing, painting(acrylic, oil), and mixed medias including fibers. Clive Henderson from Auntie’s Beads contacted me and asked me to make a piece with some of the beads from his site. Shiny pretty things and a deadline from both he and also Bead u0026amp; Button? I’m so on it! This bead embroidered pendant has my signature “too much fringe.” The central three pieces are vintage buttons I’ve been hoarding, but all the fringe beads are stuff I got from Auntie’s Beads and from a challenge I did for Caravan Beads Chicago. Its more vibrantly purple in person than on my screen.
