As a reminder, late last month, I signed up for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party.
You can read more about it here http://goodrivergallery.blogspot.com/2013/01/bead-soup-blog-party-sign-ups.html.
On Sunday night, I got my swap partner!
I decided to show off a couple of my favorite pieces from her store. They are upcycled jewelry art and all so unique.
Lets start with this one. This is a Cherish-spectacular pedal pushing bike part necklace.
You want to know why I like it so much? I’ll tell you, and it won’t be a surprise to anyone reading this blog. I LOVE the fringe. And I love the way its fashioned. I think I just learned a new button-beading-fringing technique. You can see it closer (or purchase it) here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/77582156/cherish-spectacular-pedal-pushing-bike?
Next we have a Velo-derailleur bike part funky spiny oyster neck piece. Can you see the bike parts on this one, too? It has fringe also. Go figure. No wonder I love it. By the way, these pieces are SO inexpensive. You can look at this one closer up here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/114699140/velo-derailleur-bike-part-funky-spiny?
Finally, I love labradorite, and I know I’m terrible at making earrings (note to self – make earrings) so here’s my last pick from her shop.Flash-old coins-faceted labradorite-love and travels earrings are only $21. You can see them here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/114686441/flash-old-coins-faceted-labradorite-love?
Darlene lives in Santa Fe. Oooh, and I found her Facebook page. Its https://www.facebook.com/darlenebikes
