So… today is the day I unveil my newest piece.
Just as an overcap of this all and in case you missed out on all twelve hundred of my posts, I signed up for another Bead Soup Blog Party!
You can read about that here:

And I got a delightful partner – from GERMANY! You can read about her here:

And here’s the bead soup I sent to her:

And she sent me TWO bead soups. You can read about them here:

So… that catches you all up.
I uncharacteristically decided to skip the purple soup even though its my favorite color and go with the browns and yellows soup she sent. Here’s a photo of the soup all laid out, with a fimo piece that I traded for a LOOOOOONG time ago. I’ll try to get the name of the fabulous artist who did this piece and add it in here. I admit it, I was hoarding it – and the matching side pieces.
The little cubes in two separate finishes were from her, and clockwise from them, the 11/0 topaz beads are from her soup, the swarovski rivoli was mine. The mini daggers were just in from Starman Trendsetters. The two-hole triangles are from Starman Beads, the light green delicas were from her soup, the 8/0 seed beads were from my sstash and are Tohos, and the clasp was from her. I’m starting a ladder stitch chain with the triangles there – it’ll fit around the centerpiece.
And… here’s what happened after I threw out some of the beads that didn’t really work and substituted some new ones. I added in some lavender delicas that were in her purple soup for me (mix and match! Oh my!) and some pink 15/0 seeds. Soon, I’ll be throwing back those green daggers and replacing them with some purple ones…
